overty is one of the diseases macroeconomic faced by the countries in the  world , including Indonesia . Province of West Java as the third most number of poor by 4.8 million people in 2010, which is 11.27 % of the total population . The success of economic growth, demonstrated by the developments in GDRP per capita has not been able to reduce poverty significantly. Hence , this study aims to analyze the impact of the Human Development Index (HDI), GDRP per capita, Unemployment and Investment to the Number of Poor People in West Java . The data used is the panel data, series in 2008-2011, as well as cross section data as
many as 26 districts / cities and estimated using Fixed Effect Model (FEM) . The results showed that the Human Development Index (HDI) and investment a significant negative effect on the number of poor and GDRP per Capita significant positive effect to The Poor People, while the unemployment is not significant in reducing the amount of the Poor People.
